Marcio Barbosa

CHAIRMAN

Marcio Barbosa is the Chairman of B2 International Consulting, member of the Board of Directors of the International Sustainable Energy Development Center, based in Moscow and member of the Advisory Board of the International Space University in Strasbourg. His professional career has led him to lead prestigious institutions internationally. In Qatar, he held the position of CEO of the Education Above All Foundation (EAA), a global initiative founded by Her Highness Sheikha Moza bint Nasser; as well as the General Manager of Katara - Cultural Village Foundation, an organization dedicated to building and promoting the cultural movement in the country. He served as Deputy Director-General of UNESCO for 9 years. There, he coordinated a comprehensive reform program, overseeing the work of the Assistant Directors General in the education, culture, science, communication and information sectors. Furthermore, he directed the Brazilian Institute for Space Research (INPE) for 11 years, the main space organization in Brazil, supervising the development and launch into space of the first three satellites produced in Brazil. Marcio Barbosa was the recipient of international honors as Commanders of the "Ordem Nacional do Cruzeiro do Sul” (Brazilian Ministry of Foreign Affairs), “National Order for Scientific Merit (Grã-Cruz - Brazilian Ministry of Science and Technology), "Austronautic Merit”, “Armed Forces Merit” (Brazilian Ministry of Defense), “Orden de Mayo (Argentina), Officer of Merit of Benin, Medals Allan D. Emil (IAF) and Tiradentes (Brazil), among others.

Alexandre Barbosa

FOUNDER AND CEO

Alexandre Barbosa is the founder of B2 International Consulting, where he currently holds the position of CEO. He is Vicepresident of the Brazil-Catalonia Chamber of Commerce. He has a degree in Mechanical Engineering from the Catholic University of Rio de Janeiro and a Master’s degree in Business Administration specialized in International Trade from the Ecole Supérieure de Gestion in Paris. He also has a degree in General Management from IESE Business School in Barcelona, with comprehensive training in leadership and business management. His professional experience led him to lead the International Development of Z Groupe, a French communications group specializing in the creation of web televisions. He also worked with L’Oreal Group where he was part of the Marketing team for the Latin American Zone for the L’Oréal Paris and Maybelline NY makeup brands. In France, he worked with the Development of Cultural Industries at UNESCO, coordinating projects in the ACP countries (Fiji Islands, Trinidad and Tobago, Mozambique, Senegal and Zambia).

Diana Paradela

MANAGING PARTNER and CMO

Diana is Managing Partner and Chief Marketing Officer of B2IC. Before joining B2IC she was an Events Manager at Innovations Unlimited ME in Doha. During that time she was the Project Manager of Qatar’s first Red Bull Flugtag and managed a number of corporate events for a variety of prestigious clients including FINA (Fédération Internationale de Natation), RasGas, College of North Atlantic Qatar, and the European Clubs Association, among others. Her experience in Qatar began at Katara – Cultural Village Foundation, where she was a Marketing and International Affairs Officer. As such, she had a direct relationship with Embassies in Qatar of different countries for the conception of the foundation’s cultural agenda. She started her career in Mexico in the L’Oréal Group (world leader on personal care products), on the Marketing coordination of the world’s number one make up brand, Maybelline NY. Further on, she was selected to join to the group’s headquarters in Paris where she was part of the Latin American Zone Marketing team (10 countries: Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Guatemala, Mexico, Panama, Peru, Uruguay and Venezuela) for the brands L’Oréal Paris and Maybelline NY. Diana holds a degree in Marketing from the ITESM and an MBA with a specialization on luxury brand management from the Paris Graduate School of Management.

Javier Mirallas Sarabia

President of the Brazil-Catalonia Chamber Commerce

Javier Mirallas is the current Chairman of the Brazil-Catalonia Chamber of Commerce, ICS Intelligence and ICS Solutions and the Foundation “Salud y Persona”. Mirallas specializes in Security Advice and Consulting from ICS in different business areas, establishing project design and security policies and structures in various sectors (port, banking, investment funds, real estate, art, sports, etc.). He is a member of the Board of Directors of the French Chamber of Commerce, chairs the Security Commission of “Foment Del Treball Nacional” and is also a member of the Security Council of Catalonia; counsellor for British Telecom, Transcoma, Securitas, Ofita and La Constructora del Cardoner. He is also a member of the University Advisory Council of the International University of Catalonia (UIC) UIC. Between 1987 and 2010 he founded and chaired CESS. He was President and Director of Institutional Relations of Prosegur in Catalonia from 2010 and 2015 and President of APROSER CATALUÑA from 2006 to 2015. In addition, he received various awards and honors for his relevant work, such as “Entrepreneur of the year by ERNST & YOUNG” and Officer of the Order of Rio Branco (Brazil).

Luiz Fernando Mendes de Almeida​

Luiz Fernando Mendes is Chairman and CEO of CELF Consultoría Empresarial. He is a member of the board of various institutions and companies, such as the France-Brazil Chamber of Commerce, Space Imaging Brazil (SIB), and the Brazilian Instruction Society, maintained by the Cándido Mendes University, where he is also Director of International Affairs. Mendes has provided high-level advice to leading corporations both in Brazil and abroad, accumulating more than 35 years of experience working with multinational corporations with investment interests in Brazil; acting as a link between foreign companies and large national groups. With vast experience in the development of strategic alliances, planning of large projects and financial structuring of important initiatives, Mr. Mendes is considered an international expert in the field of technology transfer, generating training and new job opportunities in Brazil and the countries of its influence. His professional career has led him fundamentally to provide advice on project creation and interaction with various levels of public and private administration, as well as with government agencies and institutions and companies such as Airbus Group, Safran and Turbomeca. In 2006 he was President-Director of "CIC do Brasil Financial Consultancy" (representative of Crédit Industrial et Commercial de France in Brazil), a position he held until 2016. Luiz Fernando Mendes has honors of "Chevalier dans l'Ordre de la Légion d'Honneur" (France); Commander of the "Ordem do Rio Branco" (Brazilian Ministry of Foreign Affairs), Commander of the Military Order of Merit, "Peacemaker" (Army) Medal and Santos Dumont Medal (Air Force).
